Last year, the Human Resources Department was awarded the WorkWell Mental Health Grant from the South Dakota Department of Health. These funds have allowed two of our staff members (Wayne Rasmussen and Carter Smith) to pursue the Mental Health First Aid Instructor Certification. They both recently passed the instructor certification class and can now conduct trainings on the topic of Mental Health First Aid for our staff and the community!

The Human Resources Department is in the middle of the busiest hiring season ever! The City of Box Elder is growing and with that growth comes new opportunities and new positions! We currently have openings in our Public Works Department, Police Department, and our Administration Department.
